My NEI 349C was a tack driver in my 1st single shot, a Shiloh Business rifle. I ordered it over the phone from Walt. He convinced me to buy some of his flaked carnauba wax to use as a flux. I still use it, sourcing it from eBay.

If you ever visited Walt in person , you can truly understand what an oddball he was.. When he was over in Scapoose I used to go by and he would make molds while I waited.

I was there twice for molds, but used to stop just to visit when I was riding my dirt bikes up behind the hills South of Clatskanie. He was always happy to get visitors for whatever reason. Not like some places where visitors seemed to bother their work schedule.

I can't remember the gals  name up front but she was super nice.I was there when she got a call from Al Miller the gunwriter who mentioned that he had double charged a reduced load and shredded his fingers.

He was a very good host to a pesty young guy with lots of questions
