This sight ended up in a lot of sight parts.  Quick Google searches do not yield much.  More info on this site antway.

It looks lust like a 55 RWS,just marked odd?

That is the sight but no ‘S’. Mine is curved not flat so it would fit a round  receiver.  I hope this one is worth what Homestead says the other one is worth.

Kins of looks like a Lyman 57, but with "loosen and adjust"
rather than having click adjustments

The Lyman 55 Receiver Sight was designed for the popular .22 rifles of the day.  The markings denoted the make of rifle.  The 55W had the locking lever like yours when for the Winchester Models 59 and 60; all others allegedly had a locking knob. There are catalog illustrations of the 55R on a Remington Model 34 and a 55W on a Winchester 60A, but I don't know what a "RS" would fit.

(This info from my ever-handy Lyman Centennial Journal 1878-1978; an indispensable reference for the sight and loading tool accumulator.)
