So Long Curt. I thank you. You set the bar pretty damn high as a gunsmith. Even higher as a human being. I wish I could shake your hand.

Very sad news Curt, I'm at a loss...
The interactions I've had with you (although few) have always been positive and helpful for me. Thank you.
Regards,
Joe

Thank you Curt,
Here in the midst of our dealings, I hear this news. Sure puts things into perspective. Glad to hear from other posters that you have a Christian Testimony, and that you are in the Lord’s Precious Hands…..

Curt,
I never met you or knew you, but have admired your work for a long time. You are a class act all around. Sorry to hear this news, and will keep you and yours in my prayers.

Curt, so sad to see these things happen as we get older and it will be all of us eventually. We met at the Quigley a couple times and talked and both had a good year in 2013. You had so many beautiful rifles there and I think they're probably some of the finest and nicest finished single shots I'd ever seen. That will be part of your legacy. Someday, one of those rifles will pop up and somebody will say, "wow, I've never seen anything finer than this and the owner can proudly say, "yes, Curt Hardcastle built this". Adios

Thank you Mr Curt for the use of that reamer. You know which one. I had no idea when we talked on the phone you were not in good health. God bless you and keep you sir.

Lots of things I'd like to say, but I'll leave it at this. You're a class act and will be missed.

I’m a jar head, but I always like what sailors say. I wish you Fair winds and Following seas! we will miss you. One of the best things about single shot Rifles is the camaraderie and conversations between us. Thank you.

CURT
I own a Remington Rolling Block that you cut down from a #1 action.
When people see it they want to know where it came from. I Proudly say your name. As long as I can still shoot I will not pass it on to the next owner. The rifle should be good for another 100 years.
