I have had the same problem, Tang vs American receiver vs German receiver.

Only solution I know is click American receiver sights and scopes without looking, use a pocket magnifier to set tang sights. Tangs I always set low and come up to correct setting never up to down. Windage look at the gage as it moves. Frequently have to back up and start again correct direction. Good thing about tangs I don't need to change settings quick or from position.

German receivers used to give me fits, 10 M Air rifle & Anschutz Smallbore prone rifle. Had to put a tape label on the guns until I drilled correct way to turn. Adjustments made from strapped in prone or offhand timed relays, no good way to look as you click  I was in Australia when using those rifles. My American sighted click and tang sight rifles were back in the US.

End of 3 years down under had it down pretty well, back home had to switch back to the American system
