Didn't see anything in Cartridges of the world or Handloaders manual of cartridge conversions.

I believe Hoyem has some information in there but there is not much.

Sorry about that.  George Hoyem wrote a 4 volume set of books on the "History and Development of Small Arms Ammunition."  It's a great reference set, but hard to find and expensive.  I went to my books and he has a picture of the 35 Wesson.  He gives dimensions as Rim-.498, Base-.436, and case length as 2.505.  Nothing else really given or shown.

Grants “More Single Shot Rifles” shows 200 and 225 grain paper patched bullets. The table below lists other specs. There may be more information in the Frank Wesson books.

1st glance looks like a 30-30 or 38-55 would work as the parent case

38/55 is way to short. 

I think I'd use a 30'06 and have a smaller diameter rim.
