I couldn’t find IMR4227 in 2019 so I bought 8lb of 300MP, has any one used it? I normally shoot 13gr of 4227 with 170gr stop ring cast 20 to 1.
Thanks Mike

I don't have experience with that caliber, but from what I understand, it is fairly similar to 32-40. In my 32 with a 180gr, I use about 14gr of 300mp

I have an Aydt that likes 12.5 gr of 300 MP with a 180 grain Hoch and a Fed 215 LRMag. I could see zero difference going back and forth between that and 12.5 gr of IMR 4227.

I have been using LR primers with 4227. I was told that 300MP requires Mag primers for good ignition. Any thoughts?

Definitely need mag primers. I tried regular LR primers and got inconsistent ignition.
