It is very thin. I have a random bottle that I dip old 22 ammo in. It seems that it is a paper patch lube, so it doesn't add much thickness

I have shot a lot of homemade .32rf which uses a heeled bullet. I pan lube them with SPG. The exposed lube grooves are dirt magnets. For ammo I will be carrying around in my pocket I take the SPG pan lubed bullets and tumble lube them with Rooster Jacket. I use it very sparingly, 1 drop for every 10 bullets. Too much will start to dissolve the SPG out of the grooves. After they dry over night with the bases on a sheet of waxed paper the thin hard film does not retain grit. I can detect no change of impact or group size. I think it might have a similar application on Loverin style bullets or old Lyman bullets that a shooter may want to seat out to the lands.

A new shooter friend used Rooster and held each bullet by the tip and hand dipped each bullet. Then set on paper to dry.Once he saw how quickly I did 50 bullets at a time pan lubing with Java he jumped over.........But whatever works is what counts...Right ?

I've used it for a number of years and it works just fine at lower velocities(under 1200 or so) , never had a problem. I put the bullets in a plastic bag, slosh them around and pour them out on wax paper  to dry with a fan blowing over them.
Recently I ran 400 straight rounds in a 44 special revolver with no bore cleaning with it as lube, with not a speck of lead or fouling. I just ordered 2 more bottles from buffalo arms.
