I had mine done 16 years ago.
Went in with 460/430 vision and came out with 20/15 vision.
Went in short sighted.
Came out long sighted.
Pretty simple operation and recovery.
Most amazing thing was the increased brightness and the vibrancy of colors which were impeded from having cataracts.

Mine was done many years ago, 20 plus ?. Really brought my iron sight eyesight back.

Two months ago my doctor recommended and I agreed to a laser clean up procedure. Sort of like cleaning the headlight covers on a car. Quick and easy. Right eye first and this afternoon he’s doing the left eye.Right eye was improved and expect left will be the same.

Did the recent procedure improve iron sight picture ?  Yes but the change not as dramatic as the original. I am 78 and while trying every trick in the book don’t shoot iron as well as I used to. Some of the problem accounted to techniques. Shooting offhand with a heavy rifle and good trigger have always looked at the spot and broke the trigger as the gun swung into it. Either scope dots or post and bead irons.

Now I can’t see the relationship between front sight and intended place of impact precisely. Shooting at the whole target not providing the scores. Switch to a low power scope scores come back.

Friends use arpeture fronts & I used to do the same when shooting small bore prone, very effective but just can’t get used to it offhand. Am going to work on the front arpeture indoors gallery this winter see if I can adapt.

Dang!  Your doctor was better than mine! I feel cheated...
