Thanks AJ! It was a little tougher than previous lighter buttplates. Had to concentrate the heat on the prongs first and when the brazing rod flowed on them then move the heat to the adjacent buttplate to get it to continue to flow. Then once it flowed to both swing back and build it up to above level to have enough to grind off flush.
The lever was a piece of cake in comparison.

Like you Jack, we live in states where a guy can get a contact high just walking down the sidewalk! I know of about 4 places where I can just drive by and know there's a commercial pot grow in one of those buildings!

In Vietnam there was a guy who was stoned All the time.  I have a photo of him in my album where he is leaning back in a lawn chair on top of a sandbagged bunker in the hot sun.  They had pulled him out of a combat unit so he wouldn't get someone else killed.  His only job was to show up at the sergeant's office at 4:30 and sit there for an hour just in case the phone rang. One day the siren went off indicating incoming rockets.  They estimated it was a couple of minutes until a rocket hit the roof over his head.  Plenty of time to make it 10 feet into the attached underground bunker.  They found him in the chair with a 1.5" piece or wood sticking out of his head.  If anyone needed a lesson on not getting stoned this was it.

Well hopefully he was stoned enough to not feel any pain. Sounds like a quick end anyway.
