Try loosening the screw that holds the sear spring to make it a bit weaker to see if that is the issue.

I will try loosening the sear spring and see if that is the problem.
The set trigger spring seems to be about right but may have weakened over the years.

PROBLEN SOLVED
The sear spring was too firm. 20 minutes with a diamond stone and adjustment to the sear spring screw and the set trigger works every time. A BIG thank you to westerner and bpjack for sending me in the right direction.
