My Post Falls Idaho DST 32-40 Winchester Single Shot rifle is now complete with the original Winchester mid range tang sight and a newly acquired windage front sight and a new small firing pin breech block.  I just need to get my right eye cataract fixed in a couple of months.

The specs are buried in my first post on this rifle.  30" #4 barrel with a great bore. 16 twist.  The consensus is that it was rebuilt with factory parts by some gunsmith years ago before serial numbers were required.

Looking good Jack. The lever it came with looked right. The lever in the picture, eh... Would look right on a full blown offhand rifle.

very appealing to me- I like it a lot. If you need an independent tester, I would be willing to do the work. My brass or yours? Roll Eyes

Just think how that would look with a 20x Super Targetspot scope on it.  What do you think Wes?  I know, I know, leave it as is. I do have 3 scoped 32-40s and hopefully soon a 32 RKS.

No, don't do that. Put the other lever back on. You don't need that fancy Schuetzen lever for bench rest shooting. Neat rifle. I want it. How much you take for that rifle, Jack?

With the non-windage sight, original mid-range tang sight (no windage) and the MVA lever which is now sanded and blued, I paid $2000.  The seller was asking $2500 and I offered $1800.  When he countered with $2000, I couldn't get my cash stash out fast enough.  I will sell it to you for that price when I am on my deathbed Joe.  Assuming I can still remember who you are Smiley

The pictures of your HW don't show how nice it really is. When I asked you to loan me the money to buy it you refused and took it for yourself. You're a stingy mean old man Jack! Your heart is black.

You will enjoy the rifle after you get your cataracts fixed. Now change that lever back.

Loan?  Hmm I seem to recall you telling me to give they guy the $2500 and not risk losing it.  You have way too many nice rifles Joe.  After all it is just another parts gun!
