RB #5 serial number

I just acquired a #5 rolling block carbine bearing the Mexican crest on the receiver bridge. The lower tang bears a serial number, the only Remington mfr. RB with a SN I have ever seen. Comments?

All of my Remington rollers have a number stamped on the left side of the upper and lower tang. Butt stock must be removed to see them. Never had one with a visible number with the stock in place. Serial number or assembly number IDK. My Modelo Argentino carbine has non matching numbers.

My 1897 #5 has a 3 digit number, under the pin retention plate.

Likely not serial No. 1 of all Rolling Blocks, but serial No. 1 of that particular order. They serial numbered military orders each in their own order I believe.
