For Sale: Meacham 1885 High Wall Schuetzen Target Rifle 30-30 Wesson

Some of you may recognize this rifle when it sold on GunBroker a month ago for $2,700. The sale and return had issues. The shop sending this rifle back to me damaged the rifle at the toe and the vernier screw of the rear sight.

It's now being offered at a much lower price.

Meacham Model 1885 High Wall Schuetzen target rifle with schuetzen-style double-set triggers and spur lever; Serial No.: W0313; Caliber: .30-30 Wesson; approx. 30" octagonal barrel with an excellent bore. This rifle is nearly new condition !

There is a lot of features on this rifle, so please read the full description.

The full-octagonal barrel tapers from 1.132" to 1.092"and measures approximately 30" long. The barrel nearly all its original blued finish. The bore is excellent. I do not own a bore scope. The barrel has been drilled and tapped with scope blocks installed.

The action is in excellent mechanical condition. The double-set triggers function properly.

This high wall features a windage adjustable rear venier tang sight and a Winchester-style globe front sight. The adjustment adjustment screw on the rear sight is bent.

This rifle has highly figured and checkered walnut stocks. The forearm has a schuetzen palm rest with a Winchester-style "tuning fork" palm rest. The checkering is professional and sharp. The buttstock has an ebony inlay in the bottom of its pistol grip and ends with a Helm pattern buttplate. The forearm has minor bumps where then palm rest touches. The wood-to-metal fit is excellent ... amazing. This rifle was returned with the buttplate removed and now damaged toe of the buttstock.

This rifle has a lot of rare features: fancy walnut, pistol grip, Helm pattern schuetzen buttplate, appropriate target sights, Winchetser-style palm rest ,

Ships via US Priority Mail with buttstock removed

First "I'll take it" posted here gets it.

Thank you,
Joe D
