I recently bought a pair of muzzleloaders on GB, one flint, one percussion described as- "Unknown brands, most likely kit built guns". The condition was stated, "as is- no guarantees on function or safety". I won the bid for a very low price with free shipping(!) and picked them up Friday. The flintlock turned out to be a Pedersoli which currently lists for $1250+. It has some dents and dings but doesn't seem to have been fired much at all and is mechanically sound. The caplock has issues exactly as described in the ad. 
My point is that while the wording was short on detail it was to the point and truthful. 
Every purchase you make online is a crap shoot. This one for me worked out very well indeed but I may get stung next time.
