I shoot a C Sharps 1875 40-60M in BPCR. Who made the mould? What is the bullet diameter? A 200 gr bullet seems mighty light for a 1/16 twist and I believe that most of the modern barrels are .408-9 diameter. I shoot the SAECO 640 with BP at 200 yds and it does its' part.

That's a 38-40 bullet, isn't it? If you want a light bullet you might try a 410928 (212 grains) or better a 410426 (240 grains). The first is practically a gallery load. The heavy bullet for my 40-65 is 410 grains but in my 18 twist 40-60 Maynard the heaviest it will go is the Saeco 640 at 370 grains. The lightest for either of them is the 405 Winchester bullet, Lyman 412263, at 288 grains.

I have a .40-60 Maynard CPA rifle with a 16:1 twist barrel that has a modern .408" diameter between the grooves.
I shoot a 422 grain Paul Jones Creedmoor bullet made with the 20:1 alloy bullets having a diameter of .409" with 53.7 grains of Swiss FFFg @1,250 fps.

Caliber      0.408      Inches
Bullet Weight      422      Grains
Bullet Length      1.366      Inches
Barrel Twist      16      Inches/turn
muzzle velocity      1250      fps
Temperature      50      degrees Fahrenheit (59 is standard)
Pressure      29.92      inches of mercury (29.92 is standard)

Sg =      2.23

It has a gyroscopic stability factor over 2.0 meaning it has enough extra spin to compensate for drag losses over long distances (1,000 yards.).
