In the market for a rifle or carbine in 50-70.  A sharps,  or 1866 trapdoor would do.

Having had a choice between an 1866 Trapdoor and an 1868 Trapdoor I took the 1868. The construction of the 1866 looked a little too rinkydink.

I've owned both and still have the 68. I traded the 66 for a nice snider. The 66 does have some fragile components but shot exceedingly well up to 200 yards. My wife was hitting soda cans with it at 60 yards with ease. I'd like to own another 66 once again.

Rolling blocks are even better than trapdoors, could look at sharps carbines too, quite a few out there. All fun to shoot
