Hi I’ve just joined th forum and ink in the UK. I’m a proud owner of Steven’s 414 armoury. Unfortunately the rear sight has been bastardised I’m trying to get hold of a new sight for it, however I’ve found nothing in the Uk. So here I am hoping someone might be able to help. I’ve also found out that a Lyman no2 tang sight can be fitted but alas no luck here in the Uk. So frustrating!

Hi,
The problem right now is that I don't think our PO will ship any package out of the country but that could change either way hour to hour. I have an old Lyman 144 that was made for the "44s" and has windage but getting it across the pond might be dicey.

The original Stevens 414 receiver sights weren't well thought of and are often missing. I cannot offer any help to you but well wishes in your search for a sight.

Oneatatime. Thanks for your reply. I totally understand regards postage. However I’m not sure how else I’m going to get what I need any other way, I’ve had no luck at all in the Uk. Might be a case of having to trawl the USA internet sites in the hope I can find something. Thanks for your input most appreciated

The original 414 sight looks kind of crude, how badly has your sight been messed with? Another option would be a tang mounted sight. Maybe if you post a picture someone could help.

The 144 was a tang sight furnished for the Stevens Walnut Hill target rifles. Here's what they look like but obviously back in 2008 a couple of guys really wanted one to go with their Walnut Hills. (You need to Login or Register to view media files and links)
Here's a pic of my 414 with one on it and then I restocked it. After that I replaced the Lyman tang sight with a spare Lee Shaver Soule sight I had (no pic). Lee might ship overseas.
