Anschutz problem

So I recently purchased my first Anschutz, a 1408 54 single shot, used of course, so took on the chore of cleaning and oiling it up. etc. I removed the bolt and scrubbed and swabbed the bore. Every thing seemed to go fine until I tried to insert the bolt again. For the life of me I cannot figure out how to get the bolt seated properly back in place. It stops when the bolt is moved forward.
What am I missing or doing wrong? Huh

This might be an awfully simple answer, but have you tried holding the trigger back as you insert the bolt?

As said previously try cocking the bolt and push in the bolt release lever on left side of action if present. Also I think That’s the super match action it should have the bolt safety lever on the bolt not the trigger make sure it’s in the ready to fire position.

I'm agreeing it's been de-cocked. Re-cock and insert. Bolt stop should be on left side near the rear.
