Final(?) Chinquapin Event Comin Next Month

Well, Schuetzen fans our participation here has gotten pretty sparse, so the Sept 26&27 match will be the decider.  Do we really want a local match in Central VA?  We had a total of 5 shooters in June with the range in pristine condition and perfect weather… FIVE, I’ll offer a full 2 day program as usual with light lunch both days for all participants.  Won’t you please consider coming and shooting with us and supporting Schuetzen in VA?

I missed the last match. The weather forecast on my computer was 90s and 50% chance of rain. A dab less than perfect for my shooting comfort.

Well, two pieces of news.  First the good; I talked with the BofD at BMC (our host club)and they agreed to provisionally reserve our traditional Chinquapin match dates for 2026 pending results of or match next month.  If we want to keep a Schuetzen event in Central Va, I’ll need to be able to show there is some interest.  Please come if you can!

Second, some bad news.  My computer lost the email list in a flash of electrons.  I will not be able to email previous participants as I had always done in the past.  So… if you have shot here before or know anyone who has, or if you would like to be part of this historic match, please pass the word.  Also, if anyone is definitely planning to attend, please contact me directly, either by email or by a message here.  I want to make sure there’s plenty of food for all, especially since it’s included with your registration.

Hope to see you there!

Froggie, If I wasn't such a wuss I'd get in the hotrod and make an appearance at your shoot, google says it's a mere 1755 miles and 27 hrs away...  The weekend before I'm going to slug it out and do the Davenport shoot, only half that distance... Hmmm.  Hope you have a good turnout.

GT,
You can fly in on your Lear Jet. The Lynchburg airport is only about ten miles away from our range.
We’ll be happy to pick you up.  You do have a Lear Jet don’t you?   Roll Eyes Grin Grin Roll Eyes

No Lear, maybe the Piper Cub.  You'd still be seen with me if I showed up in that?   Wink  Grin   Forty years ago I may have ventured that far and to your area, but slim to no chance of it now.  Sad
