You could retire there.  The closest town is the old coal mine town of Dawson, just up the road a bit.  All that's left of the town is the grave yard - home of the victims of two of the worst mining disasters in US history - 10 years apart, so the explosions claimed the lives of fathers and then sons.

The Cold Beer, aka the Colfax Tavern, is rumored to be the only bar in the US with its own zip code.
