Last trip to my SchuetzenVerein I was given some fired casings by a guy who knows I reload. He did not know who had left them in the brass can. Anyone have experience with this cartridge?

  

If your rifle is not in 7.62 and you can't hit what you are aiming at with de-linked machinegun ammo you are a pretender.

It looks like perhaps they just used that headstamped brass as the basis for making something else. What is the actual length of it and what is the inside neck diameter?

I see it was actually the other way round - a 6.5 was necked down for this one and recently also.

These are unique cases.  They are the only case that can be used to form 28-30 Stevens cases.  Not very common.
