When cleaning lead off a mold using a piece of black walnut.I see no reason to not do same here?  Heat the mold with torch and let all the lead run out and scrap away with the charred wood  and work it out. slow but sure...you wont scratch the mold using the walnut ....

flatlander, Did you get it out and how? Have you cast again and what was the result? I think many of us would like to know.

See reply #13. Any other questions please ask. Took small ridge of metal off offending block face.  I have never seen a block casting this stuck. Have not used it yet to make sure everything is okay.
