Thanks. I’m not familiar with that powder so I’ll look it up.

How do you stand with SR4759 or H(or IMR)4227?

If you look at the top of the screen for this sections on the forum (Reloading the Single Shot Rifle) you'll see the screen shown below. Under the topic "Schuetzen Loads" you'll find many many .32-40 loads listed.

There are indeed two Americas. Simply put, it is not the haves and have nots. The two Americans are in reality divided into those who do and those who don't.

When I started, I used Ramshot Enforcer. I moved to H110 after a couple months, and have settled on 300MP. All used about the same load and shot well. I moved away from the enforcer because it would start to collapse the case after 100ish firings

13 gr of IMR 4227, does very well with the 165 gr flat nose bullets I cast from an old Winchester mold. It does better than 4198 in my 44 1/2.

Baby driver, the bullet you have is for all intents identical to the old Winchester design mentioned by Timetripper I used both interchangeably with my original high wall when I loaded fixed ammo.  I always favored IMR4759, but of course that discontinued powder has now reached mythical status. If you can find either version of 4227, that would be my next choice.

Small update that may help you. Shot a personal best at my last match in some pretty heavy whipping wind. This match was our anniversary 100yd match (this is the scope bench rest target). Used a breech seated Paul Jones 180gr flat nose with Javelina lube, 14gr 300MP, and federal gold medal match magnum primers. We also shot 2 - 5 shot groups, first group was 0.990, and the second was 1.015. my rifle has a bit slower 1:16 twist, so the sweet spot seems to be the 180gr mark
