I have a bunch of bottles of old Lee liquid alox. I put it in boiling water to get it runny again, and squirt some in my bullet lube to get the alox, but also get some color in my lube.

"Joe's lube appears to have a bunch of axle grease in it, right?"

My black lube is Lanolin, compounded dark steam cylinder oil and olive oil. Very greasy black and slickery. Bullets shoot right out the end of the barrel.

more interesting than ol' axle grease. I used to use a lot of vaseline and got some odd looks when buying three of the largest jars on the shelf. added beeswax and of course, crayons. some old johnson's wax when it was around too.

My formula is bee's wax, Vaseline, Crisco, and some Lee alox.

Correction. Beeswax, lanolin, compounded dark steam cylinder oil and olive oil.
