Heidinnprudr wood. Gonna have to blue the barrel now for sure and for certain.

Scope blocks?  Come on Joe. Weld those holes up before you blue it. Not very looking rifle Joe.  Keep it away from your Ballards. They will feel weak.

Darr barrel Jack. And it was drilled and threaded when I got it.  Just a neat old parts gun like yours.

I had not planned on it but I might. Gotta try out the new wood. Turns out the most accurate bullet so far is from the Darr mold that came with the barrel.

I guess old Barry know what he was doing.   My back has been killing me since I got back from Tommy’s. I still have to test my 4 bullets in the new rifle. I am hoping my 32 RKS gets done soon so I can try it as well

Wes,

You edged me out by a couple of minutes. Otherwise this stock set would have been mine. Sad

Nice stock set. I got lucky on that one and the stocks fit perfect.

Jack, come on down to Raton. Great place to test bullets. The drive will help your back.

I was trying out some Lee's Liquid Alox Lube, which does work, however I prefer Javelina or Alberta Schuetzen Lube for rifle bullets. I use the Lee's Lube for pistol bullets.

295 grains. .384 X .381. Mold came with the barrel.  Barrel is marked 1977.

Yes I am bringing the rifle. Looks to nice to leave home.

The action I got from Joe Dobrzinski, the barrel came from Barry Darr and the wood I got from Heidinnprudr. Now that is a deluxe parts gun.

I see you followed Bob’s idea and used ketchup for lube. I see a trend.

I made my own lube for a long time until I tried ASL, but when my granddaughters were little I let 'em add a color crayon to it for color. I preferred red and so that went into the pot. Then, number two girl said she wanted to add hers in as well. Then, the argument was that that one was bigger than the first. So, another went in, but not red, for that was all gone. By the time we got it 'even' the lube took on a color much like the ones shown in these shots.
Joe's lube appears to have a bunch of axle grease in it, right?
