For Sale Browning BPCR 40-65 barrel with forearm and 25-35 with 2nd forearm
Rifle is in very good condition. Wood, bluing and color case would rate a solid 90% and has had a trigger job done. The rifle comes with the original Badger 40-65 octagon to round barrel and the original forearm and globe front sight. However the Browning tang sight is missing. Also included is a round Krieger barrel chambered in the classic 25-35 Ackley Improved. Custom quarter rib with rings mounting a very nice Weaver K-4 steel tube scope. The 25-35 caliber is fitted with new wood that very closely matches the color and grain of the butt stock. It is finished but not checkered and has an Ebony forearm tip. The 25-35 Ackley is very impressive round, excellent for deer and antelope, with ballistics and performance similar to the 253-3000 Savage. PM me for more information if needed. $2750.00 plus actual shipping to your FFL

No it is not, the BPCR has an upper tang. The 78 doesn't.

The trigger groups (trigger housing, trigger assembly and hammer) are also significantly different.  This article covers most of the differences.

Thanks Wayne,

A friend gave me his model 78 to work up a load for him.
Before I returned it I disassembled the receiver to give a deep clean and lube job.

I spent a significant amount of time reassembling as I am NOT particularly mechanically inclined.
