SPF Ballard No. 8 in 25-20 SS

I have a Ballard No. 8 in 25-20 SS.  Originally a 38-55 the bore was tired so I had it relined to 25-20.  Nickel receiver and Swiss Buttplate. There was a chip in the buttstock where it meets the receiver and I had Shon Eychaner cut out the chip and match the wood.  Barrel is 30 inch octagon to round and bore is perfect as it has never been shot.  The barrel has not been tapped for blocks and bluing is 97% and marked 25-20 SS.  Excellent checkering and rear original Ballard vernier and Lyman 5A front with globe insert.  Tight action and triggers function perfectly.
Included is a like new Lyman 438 Field Scope with standard cross-hair reticle and great optics. This Scope includes the factory one plug tap, one bottom tap, one tap drill, scope blocks and screws.  I don't know how to post photos but you can text and I'll send photos at 636-485-4698.  Price for both $2,400.00 plus $70 shipping.

Very Nice,
Is this a cast receiver or forged?
