I have a couple of new cam style seaters that fit Winchester 1885 high wall actions up for sale in either 32-40 or 38-55. The single seater photo is the actual one for sale and is shown in 32-40 but I can swap out the case and pusher for 38-55.  Or I can include both sets for an additional fee.
Single caliber is $195.  Add $15 for both cases and pusher rods.

Jack

P.S. I only make seaters for Winchester 1885s.  Other calibers available with your cases.  PM for details

Hi Jack,

Do have any reports either way whether these will work on the Winchester "Styled" Uberti Hi Walls.

Thanks

RJ

I have a Uberti "High Wall" in .30-40 Krag.  Shoots pretty well with jacketed, but I'd sure like to try it with breech seated lead bullets.  Might that work?

Not having a Uberti to try it in I couldn’t say for sure but in the breech block dimensions are not significantly small it should work. Some reshaping of the nose on a belt sander or with a file might be  necessary.

I made up one for my Winchester high wall in 30-40. It just needed a longer brass  pusher head so the tip remained in the bottleneck.

Thank You,

I think we need to start a raffle so we can raise the money to buy Jack a Uberti..!

Sounds good to me.  While you are at it buy me a Shiloh sharps so I can make seaters for them. I actually did buy a Stevens 44-1/2 and verified the hammer is too high for my seater design.

I wonder if it would work with the lower CPA hammer?

The Weber seaters were much thinner in the area over the hammer since there was only a 3/16” steel rod through the brass body at that point. My seaters uses a design I copied from one I found on eBay years ago and in the hammer area there is a 3/8” steel cylinder that the 1/4” push rod screws into. This makes the body about .575 in that spo. That is not a problem with high walls since the hammer drops below the seater path. We need someone with a CNC mill to make the brass Weber bodies and linkage and handle as they appear to be very labor intensive.
