BEESON GERMANIC .22 KING MATCH, SUMMER CF, 2025
A .22 LR King Target event will be shot during the Beeson Summer CR Match.
I expect to attend Thursday and Friday, July 10 & 11, so those will be the days of the Germanic match this week. You may shoot during any relay Thurs. or Fri., just like any reentry target. If people are interested, we will also shoot after 5 pm on those days.
RULES:
1.      Any Germanic .22 Schuetzen rifle, Traditional or Open Class. If you don’t have one, I will have a Germanic rifle and ammo available-usually at bench #33-to shoot. Entry fees include the use of the rifle and ammo.
2.      The target will be a reproduction of an old Schuetzen animal target (in this case, a chamois), provided by Mike Creager. Thanks, Mike! This match will be shot at 50 yards. The single shot closest to the center of the bull is the winner, with 2nd and 3rd places also awarded. One prize only per entrant-determined by his/her single best shot on the target.
3.      To get started, an entrant places $5 into the entry stein. The 5 dollars purchases 3 shots at the target. An unlimited number of additional shots may be purchased for $1 each. The match ends when no one wants to buy another shot after 5 pm on Friday. I’ll add a sighter target beside the King Target to give shooters a better chance to try the sights on any gun they’re not familiar with.
4.      SCORING: If you shoot during a regular relay, have a spotter use the Sharpie or pen at the bench to circle and initial the shot(s) you took during that relay to register your shot(s). It would also be helpful if you would circle and initial the actual bullet holes on the target after the relay. As the shot counts increase, it gets tough to accurately ID each shot in this event unless entrants circle and initial their bullet holes between relays.
5.      PRIZES: 
1st prize is a German beer glass of your choice, your choice of 3 German beers and the target as a trophy.
2nd prize is your choice of 2 German beers.
3rd prize is your choice of one German beer. IF YOU PREFER, A SPRECHER’S CRAFT ROOT BEER OR DIET ROOT BEER MAY BE SUBSTITUTED FOR ANY OF THE GERMAN BEERS. OTHER AVAILABLE SUBSTITUTIONS WILL ALSO BE SPECIFIED AT THE PRIZE TABLE.
REMEMBER, IN ALL GERMANIC RIFLE EVENTS, PALM RESTS AND SHOOTING COATS ARE PROHIBITED AND SHOTS MISSING THE TARGET PAPER ARE NOT RESHOT.
