Since I have acquired a couple old double barrel shotguns that need repair I thought I would sub to the double gun Forum. Tried three times putting my info in but it won't accept it. Anyone here on this forum? Reason is I have a 10 ga Charles Daly that needs a new stock. The original one is broken at the wrist and needs a new stock. Anyone know of a good stock man? I know it will be costly but it is a beautifully engraved Damascus barreled gun that deserves a new stock.

I’m a member over there as well as a couple others here that I know of.  Steve Bertram being one that I will mention since he is a professional stocker as well as other specialties, including British Doubles and British singe shots.  You might contact him and see what he has to say.  In case you are not familiar with stocking doubles, it can get very expensive, especially if it’s a side lock gun.  I’ve done both side lock and box lock and the side locks are not easy, I would definitely not be anxious to do anymore.

Ballards may be weaker,

I've been a member there for a long time. I don't post much, and mostly read posts. I own a couple guns over the years I posted questions about there, and got some help. A Gove SxS 14 ga. ML shotgun with gorgeous wood and light engraving. And a Emil Flues custom scheutzen rifle built on an 1881 Marlin lever action. I found a link way back when I got the Flues 1881 Marlin to a biography that was published in the Double Gun Journal on Flues and some hints to Gary Quinlan who helped me with Flues info way back then.
