I am in need of a windage adjustable front sight. Any suggestions welcomed.

I'd check what Montana Vintage Arms has to offer.

The MVA Winchester wind gauge sight would be appropriate for your Winchester rifle.

I prefer the MVA sight designed similar to the original Sharps sight instead of the traditional Winchester style since it has a larger globe, allowing more light for better sighting under low light conditions, and the spirit level does not occupy as much of the sighting space within the globe on the larger Sharps style  globe.

Also my neck is straighter shooting using higher sights and does not bend sideways from leaning sideways when shooting with lower sights at closer distances.
I find cocking your head with lower sights results in inconsistent sight angles which can also affect your accuracy.
My reasons for not liking the Winchester style sight so much.

The globe sights used in Olympic shooting are mounted higher and have much wider globes.

These Olympic globe sights are not allowed in BPCR Silhouette shooting which restricts you to using the traditional smaller diameter lower mounted BP rifle globe sights.

The reason being the Olympic sights are more accurate.

So my reaction is to use the larger globe with the higher crosshair point when selecting a traditional BP globe sight that does not have the sight picture blocked more by a spirit level.
