I use a system Stahl rifle chambered in 32 Special. It works fine breech seated and fixed. Nothing unusual about it. Extremely accurate when breech seated. I use similar loads used with 32-40s.

When it comes to rifle rests, risers and stuff like that I become Canadian trailer trash. Embarrassing..

I also have a Stiegele Martini chambered in 32 Special. The chamber is off center so the only alternative is breach seating. It is quite accurate.

When a liner was installed in my Stahl, the smith used a 8.15X46R reamer I had procured from a member here. Turned out the chamber reamer was way to big at the neck for the bore in the liner. I borrowed a 32 Special reamer to re-chamber. Worked out good. Pays to check reamer diameters before being used.
Sent the 8.15X46R reamer back to the manufacturer to have the neck portion reground to the correct size for a .321 bore which is the most common size these days. The reamer came back ground for a .316 bore and it cost the same as a new reamer. Dang!

My martini was advertised as an 8.15x46r with a 3 day return, I didn’t get to the range for a week, loaded up a round. Ejected a very mangled piece of brass. The seller refused to take it back. I learned a good lesson, don’t believe online auction’s description, and chamber cast before firing.

Descriptions Eye Yie Eye. My 20x Lyman STS was actually a 15x, My Sauer 20 x 9.3 cape gun is a 16 x 43 mauser. But it goes both ways. My Sauer was a 16 x16, the single set trigger was a clue that it once had another set of barrels. Sure enough 400 lots latter they had the cape gun barrels. My Ballard #9 was listed as a Ballord poor pics, lame description and it was mine.

Call it a 8.15 X 52R. It exists and is very close to 32 Special dimensions. It was a 300 meter number in the old days.
