Shiloh Sharps $250 deposit/contract, sell for $200

I decided to buy a Shiloh Sharps that was already built and ready to go vs. having a customer one made. I called and spoke with Lucinda about transferring my $250 deposit or contract which went inactive on 07/01/2024 to someone else. As the window to do so is getting shorter I'd sell it for $200 and you'd get to move to the front of the line vs. having to wait 1-2 years, and build the rifle to your specifications.

If you bought a rifle that was already done, from Shiloh and they wouldn't give you credit for the deposit, I'd say that is questionable on Shiloh's part.

If you are being a good guy and your just trying to help out a fellow ASSRA member, kudo's to you... The next beer is on me.

The Shiloh that I bought wasn't thru Shiloh Sharps, but a private sale.  The deal was too good to pass up and was close enough to the one that I was going to build with more upgrades than I could afford.  I wouldn't say I'm being a good guy, just trying to not eat the entire loss of the deposit.

It's a good deal for someone that's ready to put in an order with Shiloh.

I had a slot that was 10 years old, a friend ended up using it.  It was not a problem with Shiloh.

It still took 1 1/2 years to get the gun but, it was right in the middle of covid when he ordered the gun.

The contract says you can remain on the inactive list for 1 year, after that you loose the $250 deposit.  When I called Lucinda she didn't mention extending the contract beyond that.

Considering the rifle I ended up getting with all the upgrades, at a lower price that I would've paid for the brand new custom built it made sense to eat the deposit, assuming no one is interested in picking it up.

They must have changed the policy.  I know I ordered a rifle back in 2009-10 and never finalized it and let it go inactive.  I think that contract said you could finish the order anytime and it would go into the next quarters schedule.  My friend paid me for the contract and did get his gun.
