Yesterday I was visiting with Tom Rowe and Tony and the next table was Bob Warren and it was really something to see his marvelous creations up close and personal. Then along comes GT (Greg) and his son and I finally got to meet them.

A few posts with pictures of tables.

I didn't get pictures like I should have this year, I'll do better next year!

I didn't get guys like Vall Miller and Steve Bertram, who were both there.  Didn't take any of Greg or his son Nate either.  I also should get pictures of members that stop by.  Rodney Storie nor Bruce Nelson made it this year.

These are all of my table.

Last year there were comments on the pictures of Tony's display, and that we don't see this number of Single shots in one place.

Well, here you go again.
Bob

The third Ballard down, in the last picture, is one I sure would like to own!

This first picture is Tony figuring up how much money he had made by 8AM Friday Morning. Grin

If you ever wondered what Tony's backside looked like, here ya go! Wink

If you really ever cared to know what Tom Rowe looks like here you go.  He's the non-astute looking guy, behind the table, looking at the astute gentleman studying the book. Cheesy

Now being more serious!
This last picture is of Shon Eychaner, he's from the KC area.  This was his first year at the show but Tony has know him a few years, I just met him last year in Kansas City.  He's a good guy, and very talented, he's trying to build a business so he can retire from his current work.  Like myself, he has built some guns from scratch.  Give him a call if you need something done.  Sounds like he is a couple months behind right now.
Bob

I just noticed the spelling of Shon’s last name was incorrect, now corrected.  Seems spellcheck does not like his name spelling!

Absolutely unreal is all I can say. Can't believe the amount of history in guns just laying about. All makes and models. Eye candy abounds. Thanks for the pictures.

That's a Hug rolling block.  Pretty rare bird, but covered in one of DeHass' addendum books.

Ballards may be weaker,
but they sure are neater!

Our group of three had two tables, and it was one of the most enjoyable trips to Colorado CGCA shows we've had in 30 years! Got to meet some new faces from ASSRA, plus visit with a lot of old faces I always look forward to seeing again.
Came home with another Ballard, an original 32" Wm. Malcolm scope, plus a couple other guns, and a few trinkets.
Missed some people like Chuckster, and Rodney that couldn't make the show!
Hit a lot of road construction on I-84 and I-80 both ways that made for two long days of driving each way, but still well worth it to us!

Bob, don't scare them off;-) That guy was just rounding people up for the display awards presentations Sunday afternoon. Tom Rowe didn't have just his beautiful books. I saw him showing off a British single shot designated for 2000 yard targets. Ron Peterson also had a 2000 yard rifle built on a Westley Richards monkey tail action of all things that had 8 flip up sights along the barrel for 100 to 800 and then was marked along the rib for 900 to 2000 at 100 yard intervals. He also had a first model factory high wall schuetzen and a whole bunch of engraved Stevens and Ballard schuetzens and for those with a "smaller" collection, 12 or 15 or so minty boys' rifles from a collection (at least some from Grant's Boys' Single Shot Rifles). The latest I hear is that the show will be at the same place and about the same time next year. Set up is Thursday, Friday is dealer to dealer and for those collectors who purchase a 3-day ticket and the public is let in Saturday and Sunday. Y'all come.

I’ll let Tom tell the whole story on the 2000 yard gun.  But will say he saw it years ago, turned it down and regretted it since.  Then it showed up at this show and he bought it.

He won’t be admiring it for awhile though, but I will, since I have it!  It has a couple small issues I’m fixing for him.

Next years show is Saturday and Sunday, May 16 and 17, at the same place for the public.  Thursday and Friday, prior to that, is for venders and collectors.
