Hepburn palm rest

In the process of a Hepburn 22lr build and have found lots of pictures of Hepburn's with a palm rest. Is there possibly a "kit" for these rests? If not I am going to try and machine one from the pictures. Only problem is without a drawing it won't be dimensioned correctly. Any suggestions?

Since Remington never offered a palm rest that I know of, you're pretty wide open to do whatever you like really. CPA sells both palm rests, plus bases, staffs, and various knobs. It wouldn't be that tough to make something close based on pictures, and I doubt anyone would notice slight differences, or care.

remington did make a palm rest only in very limited numbers and for the walker #3 schuetzen. a very complicated unit. rodney story made a few castings and i don't think he has any left. a  couple of people have made some from scratch in the last 30 years and swore they would never make another.   tony<><

Don’t know what you have for pictures but here are some pictures of what I believe are all Walker palm rests, Tony can verify this.  The pair of guns are Tony’s, which he has shown here before.

If my current Hepburn project would have ended up as a Schuetzen style I would have made one of these.

thanks bob,  those are remington #3 schuetzen palm rests aka the walker.  compare them to the pope or others and you will see how complicated they are, but they work and hold great. i shoot both of mine.i belive the last picture is from walker  w2,  a 22 lr. amazing the palm rest was never mounted to the gun and is still with it. a beautiful gun.  tony<><

MVA sells the metal parts for $125-175. You need to make your own knob. I ordered one for a friend and it looks really good, same as everything they sell.

CPA also sells just the knobs: round and Schoyen style.
