Questions regarding Falling Block Works actions….

….as I understand it, one or perhaps both brothers have passed away, but for a few years prior to that there were some small parts available. Does anyone know if that is still the case or has it all become unobtanium?

Also, I’m fairly sure I’ve read that mainsprings (?) could be problematic? If true, I’m wondering if there is a source of replacement springs available? Possibly someone out there knows the dimensions such a spring would need to be?

Are there any other parts that have proven iffy in your experience?

I am now the proud owner of two Model J actions, one completed into a fine rifle and one As New awaiting my pleasure, so I thought it best to make a few inquiries…. Smiley

I haven’t lost all my marbles yet but there is definitely a hole in the bag somewhere.

I have a copy of the FBW catalogue that I'd be happy to scan if interested?
It's about 18 pages long.
Here's a pic of my Model L that I had built in 577NE x 3".

Oh my, that’s a terror I’m quite sure!

If you don’t mind going to the trouble, I would certainly appreciate a scan. I will message you my email address shortly, along with my many thanks!

Hopefully this link might work to the FBW catalogue?
The file is a bit too big to attach, even when compressed.
