Pair of 32-40's

Picked these up in the past few months. The Ballard is a #8 Union Hill. The receiver is blued but can overlook that. The Hepburn is a Match Grade "B" in outstanding condition. All serial number's on both rifles match as they should. Actually, this is the second time I've owned the Hepburn. Let it go 4 1/2 years ago due to my failing eyesight. Even though I am still legally blind, they are better now with corneal transplant's. Now I can still enjoy this great hobby of our's. I feel very fortunate to have it back. ( Thanks A.J. ) Dale.

First class rifles there for sure and great photography.
Is the Hepburn a 32-40 Hepburn caliber or 32-40 Ballard?
Spent a couple days last week forming 32-40 Hepburn cases for a friend. What a royal pain that was. Managed to turn out two useable cases.

Joe, It's a 32-40 Ballard, thank goodness. Has a pencil thin barrel. Thinking maybe it was ordered for a woman or a young man. It weigh's next to nothing.

As the man said, "So much is beautiful", so congratulations, Dale, on multiple levels. And those are indeed drool-worthy rifles.

Congratulations Dale!
Two fine rifles and it’s great your eyesight will now allow you to enjoy them!

That is an exceptional Hepburn. And the Ballard is outstanding as well.

Ballards may be weaker,
but they sure are neater!

Both are simply wonderful rifles Dale! Love that case and tools for the Hepburn too! Do you know who built the case for the Hepburn?
The Union Hill is an upgraded version having checkering on the forearm, and a higher grade wood also.

The case is from Cape Outfitters. I made some improvements and my friend, A.J. did some more.
