The shank looks too long for a Frasier unless it is the camera angle.

Just a WAG Jack. Might help if we had diameters on threads and the shank. I think Cadets have longer shanks?

I don't see anything in DeHaas book that matches that. A Gibbs Fahrquson is close, but it had dual extractors and a slightly smaller shank. So must be some oddball action it fits?

The cut on the botttom of the barrel says Rolling Block. The thread size says Spanish Oviedo Rolling Block. I have one of those but it has a sliding extractor and that barrel looks like it is cut for perhaps a rotary extractor of some sort.

My likely useless comment is ... 14 TPI ... sounds British to me. No idea where my 'books' are ...

Smoke, I didn't know they have V threads but that makes total sense with that extractor cut.

I don't know about the threads either.  I just saw the cut and offered a suggestion.

The only thing I do know about the cut is that the gunsmith who fitted that barrel for me charged me extra for the extra PITA work Smiley

The 1897 and 1902 RB had a 12 pitch, square thread. The BP have a .975 x 12 square thread pitch.

Edit:
The thread diameter for the '97/'02 is 1.050.

As I remember, all of the Remington RB's have a 12 pitch.

How about one of the later reproduction rolling blocks?   Navy Arms? Uberti?

What else might have used that style extractor?

(and what caliber is this barrel?)

The Extractor cut isn't right for a Pedrosoli rolling block and they don't need the underside cut either.  I think but am not sure, the thread pitch is 12 on them.
