Got my latest Journal today and Joe your work and research just continue to get better and better. You have built a truly first class publication that I and I’m positive the members wholeheartedly are thankful for.

Probably one of my favorite covers. Our sport/hobby is not just about the rifles themselves. Our Journal does a great job of covering the people, art and culture of single shot.

Yea, but if Joe keeps showing pictures of those beautiful Maynard's, it is going to get to me.

I’m confused that there is little if any serious acknowledgement of Joe’s efforts on behalf of this group. Understand I offer no disrespect to the previous  ‘Journal ‘ editor but the new journal we are receiving today is in another class of publication. It didn’t just happen by accident, it was the result of a lot of hard work and a man tapping lots of historic contacts and building a first rate magazine.

Okay I’m not a high post forum regular but I’m a daily follower who is, and has been for years, fascinated with single shot rifles, own quite a few, and the sport of Schuetzen has always been a wanna-be endeavor when younger and orthopedically able. So my point is that I’m not sure why Joe’s efforts aren’t appreciated commensurate with the level of his work for this group. Is there something here in the background I’m unaware of that keeps the membership from recognizing his efforts ?

I believe there is wide acknowledgement of, and appreciation of the effort Joe has put into editing and overall stewardship of the Journal. Some have a harder time expressing their appreciation than others, but often in a face to face opportunity would be more forthcomung. Again, Thank you Joe.

Just finished my new issue of the Journal.  I’ve commented before on the efforts of our editor, but this issue deserves special praise.  I’ve been a member for almost thirty five years now and I’ve never seen the kind of high class work we’re getting now.
I commented years ago that for many members, the Journal is their only contact with the organization.  When I joined, Rudi Prusok was all I knew about ASSRA!  Now through Joe’s efforts even the most isolated readers will have to be favorably impressed with our group.  Thank you Joe!

Joe sent me a complimentary copy last year immediately upon my joining ASSRA. Having never seen a prior copy under anyones editorialship, I had nothing to compare it to. It was quite obvious however that it is a top notch product. It certainly reflects what little I know of Joe through the transactions I have had with him.

First class all the way. And no doubt a hell of a lot of work.

Thinking a centerfold would be nice. High gloss full length photos of Stevens,  Ballards, High Walls, Maynard’s, Hepburn some of those sexy Euro types. Suitable for framing or those lonely nights stranded on some small island oops sorry I think I jumped the rails on that.
