Update: I changed the title of the thread because it dawned on me that a lot of people would ignore a thread about the old, long unavailable H108. Everything else remains the same.
There was a short thread on this subject a few months ago that I found earlier today then lost, so I’ll just start a new one. The Rook Rifle class in the Oak Ridge Classic Rifles event inspired me to get my 25-20SS high wall project off the back burner (OK, it had actually fallen off the back of the stove!

) and try to get it ready for this match.
Did anyone ever get a good load developed using H108 (or Accurate #9) for 25-20SS with the old factory twist?
I have a couple of moulds including the Ideal Perfection, so I can juggle bullet weights a bit, but I’m wondering about powder type and charge.
I’ve got a good stash of H108 I use for my 32/357 Peregrine, so I’d like to use that, but I also have a (dwindling) stash of IMR 4759 and a couple of faster burning pistol-type powders in smaller amounts.
I’d love to hear what any of you are loading for 25-20SS in your rifles. How about some of you Quarter Bore Corps guys?
