	Our current legislature is proposing to inflict a $25,000.00 per firearm DEPOSIT to combat crime. House Bill 1504 Easier than addressing mental ilness and accountability.

	Limit Politicians to two terms: Office immediately followed by Prison (life w/out parole).

	Our local sheriff has said he would not ever enforce such a law. I don’t think our liberal governor would sign such an obviously unconstitutional law even it it did pass. This is silly season where the idiots in our legislature propose laws just to satisfy their most radical constituents.

	One of our pro-gun watchdogs just sent out an email essentially saying the bill is dead. They were going to have a hearing on Wednesday but they took it if the docket after 8000 anti bill comments were received with only a couple of dozen supporting it. The email response was so overwhelming that it crashed their web server.

	I actually think it's a great idea to submit utterly absurd anti gun bills! The more insane the better, as those laws never get passed. It's the more conventional "acceptable" feel good anti gun laws that end up getting through and then we have to fight them for years. These antigunners know they're using up our money having to fight things that cost them nothing to pass, so they'd rather have small things pass than big ugly things fail.

	I agree Vall, There is another bill that will probably pass that adds extra sales taxes on guns and ammo.

	We moved to Washington 16 years ago, and at that time it was refreshingly free of gun laws and restrictions. I won’t say the overwhelming number of laws enacted since then has caused me to leave, it was health issues that prompted our move. However, the draconian efforts being put into place to punish law-abiding citizens certainly won’t be missed on my part. Not that Oregon is tremendously different, mind you, but for the moment it is better. Who knows what tomorrow will bring?
