Here are a couple of pictures of the Steven Durren built highwall I was shooting this morning.  I put my new MVA 10x scope onto it as I'd sold the B5 I was previously using.  It's a beautiful rifle and looks much better in person than my pictures would have you believe.   It's in 38-55 and has a #5 weight BRC barrel on it, so it soaks up a lot of recoil.  It shoots very nicely with the Hoch 376310 and 4227.  This morning it put ten shots into 2" at 219 yards, even with my poor bench technique and an un-tuned load.

Wow, that is a beautiful gun.
But, something looks off…you sure you didn’t reverse the picture. Cheesy

Chris,
219 yards, really. You don’t have to be ashamed to say 200 meters.  We can figure it out I think. Now liters  and imperial gallons are another thing altogether.

I probably should have said 0.9954 rods Smiley

Yeah it's sad for us that he retired, although I'll bet he's happy with the decision Smiley.  I think a few people here recommended him to me and I'm glad he agreed to build the rifle for me.

Chris.

I pickup a couple of rifles made while he was at Ballard in Mich. All very nicely done. I'd post pictures if I knew how. At my age writing this reply is my limit. J.W.

Ballards may be weaker,
but they sure are neater!
