200gr SMK in 308?

I have 350-400 200gr SMK's left from the development of the 30 Rensi some years back. The only 30 caliber's I shoot now are the 30-30 and 308.

Anyone got a load for the 308? Right now I have N140, D060, and Swiss 2f one the bench.....
  
If your rifle is not in 7.62 and you can't hit what you are aiming at with de-linked machinegun ammo you are a pretender.

I didn’t like N140 in my .308 loads.  The 200 grain SMK is a little slow at 35 grains.  I had pressure signs at 40 grains, but Vihtavuori shows loads up to 41.2 grains.  Accuracy was decent across the board, but not as good as some other bullet/powder combos.  It is a good powder for a wide range of options, but not always the best.

In my early years as a high power competitor I shot that bullet for the 600 yard stage and also for long range. I used IMR 40-64. I believe it was 41 grains. This was extremely accurate from my ten twist Obermeyer barrel.
You should be able to work up something decent with N140 although N150 might be better.

Being over here the Vihtavouri powder is the easiest to get. Some other are available but not consistently....
