	Has anyone here specifically shipped a long gun UPS with the pirate ship app AND had it arranged for pick up when shipping it out? Thanks Mike

Thanks Mike I have shipped two antique guns with Pirateship/UPS, but dropped them off at the local UPS ship station. Can't imagine it's any different if they pick it up? I use Pirateship's insurer so don't have to declare what's inside the box, just what it's insured for.

	Art, It a computer app where you can buy and print your own labels for USPS and UPS. Saves money over taking you package to the PO. It very convenient!

	Marlinguy told me about Pirate Ship a while ago. Saves quite a bit. I just got a summary email from them saying I saved $178 last year over standard rates.

	ASSRA # 11318 just a bit of a hoot.

	I got the tip from JerryH and the first package I shipped was $45 through UPS, but only $17.50 through Pirateship at UPS. Amazing it can go through UPS either way, but be much cheaper. The Ballard I sent off was $104 through UPS, but $48 through Pirateship.

	i have been using it for about 2 years now. i ship a lot and it is great. very easy to set up and they are very helpful . i got my statement yesterday for last years shipping and saved over 700.00. my post office loves it , very easy for them. they just scan code and give me a reciept. remember always pull stock of and pack very good. it is still the post office. i don't use ups much but some things have to go that way. we have a drop station here at local hardware store or can give it to my ups driver. tonY<><

	Greetings, Has anyone filed a claim for lost package or damage with PirateShip? I believe they are self insured and claims go through PirateShip and not USPS? Claims via USPS are rather tedious. Cheers, Dave

Cheers, Dave Anyone whose ever filed a claim from USPS will never use their insurance again! I have not had to do a claim from Pirateship, bt when they began their optional insurance their site stated claims would be much quicker than USPS or UPS. I hope I never have to find out!

	Setting up the account and creating my first UPS shipment went well. Adult signature option available which I was wondering how that worked and again that was simple. Set up a pickup for Monday, simple. So far so good.

Cheers, Dave I have filed a claim through pirateship, it was 99% easier than filing through USPS. It was about a year ago though so I don't recall who the insurer was.
