Identifying a Freeland Martini

I have a BSA Martini Mark V that I purchased from a now deceased avid smallbore target shooter. Other than two extra holes in the barrel where a mounting block looks to have been, the rifle is in excellent condition.  Some of the accessories, e.g. palm rest hardware and butt hooks are marked Freeland. Did Al Freeland place any identifying marks on the rifles he brought into the United States, if so where would they be?  Thanks, Tom

My International has "FREELAND ROCK ISLAND ILL" on the left side of the receiver.

Nothing on the receiver, looks like it’s not a Freeland. Thanks for the information, Tom

Don’t know when the regulation went into effect but.

1999 my used Anschutz brought in from Australia had to be consigned to a licensed importer, different license than dealer’s. Importer required to mark it with his name and city/state

Believe the rule is much older than 1999, edit !  thanks Google, 1968.
