Who sells the one pictured in your screenshot? Looks like an interesting design.

I believe it is one of the Schoyen copies that David Arrowinko made in mid nineties.

Jeff,
Do you have any reference I can check into about this being a Peterson-made item? I’m familiar with the one Arawinko made circa 2000, but could never find confirmation on the origin of this design.  The one in the sale ad picture sure looks like one of Dave’s.

I do not. The one in the picture is no doubt an Arawinko copy of the Peterson. Adolf Holle used an original at EG. There was one pictured on the cover of the "The ASSRA News" soon after it went to color covers.

Thanks for that, Jeff.  I’ve been trying to confirm that David’s unit was styled after somebody’s Old original.  I’ve been told that it was definitely not made by Schoyen, but a later production by Peterson has not been addressed.   Undecided
It’s such a distinctive design, it should be easily recognizable.  The fact that the Arawinko version has a body of brass, along with the finger loop of course, makes it really stand out… and you know how much I like shiny things!  Roll Eyes
Happy New Year!

Jimmy,
I believe that may be one made by Pete Allen.  It is in the so-called “Pope” style, which was actually from a design from California (Chick Martines?) and resurrected by Jake Simmons.  Most of these are limited by the proprietary shell holders they use.  Yours is very attractive with its use of universal shell holders.  Maybe you should try using it… that style works well for a lot of us.

Looks like a Weber to me? I have a Weber that is case colored and uses typical modern shell holders and looks just like that.

The cover picture was July-August 2003 and no doubt an Arawinko. When I asked Bill Graffius who's re&de was in the picture he immediately said "Oh, that's a Peterson!" That's my only reference. Adolf's could have been Arawinko also. David probably knows who designed the original.  Wink

Here is a picture I took in 2012 in Mt Dora Florida at the gun store that has on display all of the guns and tools that came out of Peterson's shop. This picture show the castings used for that re decapper which came out of Peterson's shop.
