If your rifle is not in 7.62 and you can't hit what you are aiming at with de-linked machinegun ammo you are a pretender.

I braved the cookies and took a look at the box.  It looks like it’s in Germany(?) since the language on the auction/sale site is in German (I guess?)
It would appear that it is set up either for preloaded rounds or perhaps for stop ring bullets with a bunch of loaded cases in a couple of big loading blocks.  There is no provision for a powder measure or the other “tools of our trade”, at least none I could see.
It appears in the pictures I saw in my admittedly quick viewing, that the box is overall pretty shallow and I wonder how it was carried.  I didn’t see any carrying handle.
I’ve always been interested in how folks got all their stuff to the range, and with the way we play the game it can be a real challenge to get all of our gadgets and gizmos to the bench.

I went back and took a longer look, and it is for loaded ammunition, good old 8.15mm.  It has nicely brass bound corners and a lock, but I still don’t see any accommodation for carrying it.  I would think it would have to be carried flat or the fired cases would all drop loose and rattle around.
As I said before though, it’s always interesting to see how people dealt with carrying their plunder.  This design would probably be more appropriate for BPCS than for Schuetzen as we do it.

It would be a neat thing to have to go with ones German schuetzen rifle. Petty nifty to my eye.
