Price Lowered - .40-65 Rolling Block Target Rifle

.40-65 rolling bock target rifle with dies, brass, and bullet mold. The rifle was assembled by C. Sharps on a No. 5 Remington action altered to pistol grip configuration and has a 30-inch 1:16 twist Badger barrel. The stock length-of-pull is 14 inches and the rifle weighs approximately 11.8 pounds as pictured. The sights are a C. Sharps mid-range Soule rear sight with Hadley eye cup and a Lee Shaver front sight that uses Lyman No. 17 apertures. The rifle has been a safe queen, has less than 500 rounds through the barrel, and is too nice to just sit. $2,400 for the rifle alone or $2,600.00 with a set of RCBS reloading dies, a Paul Jones (?) 2-cavity bullet mold for a 400-grain Creedmore bullet, and 200 pieces of Starline .40-65 brass. plus shipping and insurance. This is built on a post-1898 action so needs to be shipped to an FFL.

Did they do the pistol grip conversion by putting a dogleg bend in the main spring, instead of making a wedge shaped spring seat to retain the original geometry?

They left the original spring geometry and welded a wedge-shaped filler piece onto the lower tang to form the pistol grip.
