RRB no5 family portrait

Here is a neat family portrait of my RRB no5 Sporting Rifles ( hope the images is attached )

From the top

303 Refinished and poor bore. Needs repairs

303 Totally original and ok bore

30 US aka 30-40  Totally original and good bore

7x57 Originally, refinished and rebarreled by another too 7x57R.  Shoots exceptionally well with the own built globe front and Marbles tang sights

Pretty uncommon model too find in NZ.
They are all fully shootable and the 7x57R having a new barrel and good sights is a great vintage hunting rifle

Ballards may be weaker,
but they sure are neater!

Nice collection of #5 Rolling Blocks.
I rarely see any #5's for sale around my area.

It's great to see these No.5 sporters coming out of the woodwork. I also found one in .303 Brit in NZ a few years back. Of added interest were the NZ WW2 Home Guard markings on the action. Imagine going up against invading Japanese armed with a single shot RB!!
I also find it very interesting that it looks like a shipment of these were sent out to NZ in various chamberings other than .303 Brit. I haven't seen any here in Oz and I reckon that was because Winchester had the SS market covered.

All I can say is wow! Rare indeed. A much overused term in our industry but in this case very true indeed.  I've only seen two in the last 20 years.
