Muzzle brake?

Not for a Sharps or Roller
I am looking for a muzzle brake for a rifle I often use with a sound suppressor but sometimes not when portability is an issue. I do not want something loud so was thinking of some sort of an inline brake.
Any recommendations?
If your rifle is not in 7.62 and you can't hit what you are aiming at with de-linked machinegun ammo you are a pretender.

first, most of the muzzle brakes I have ever encountered were louder, perhaps than the same unaltered. second, if it's a mean-enough kicker to need a brake, why in hell have you put a suppressor on it? how much can you quiet something like, say, a .340 Wheatherby? I don't mean to halt you here, just curious about this situation to ask these things.

Can one even use a supressor and a muzzle brake (or linear compensator) at the same time on a firearm?
Seems counter intuitive.

Sorry, I wasn't clear. By "quiet" I meant quieter than the usual muzzle brake. I am not trying to use a brake in conjunction with my suppressor, the suppressor is a great brake but a bit too long in a Kanzel.
I had in mind something linear. Teledyn (l believe they have a new name) used to make something that vented out of the front. I have seen a few pictures of others on the net...
Anyone experienced with one or another of these?

man, I'd need a 'vertical compensator' to hoist up the luggage and supplies into the apartment y'all have there. At my age, getting the ol' lard bucket up the ladder would be a challenge, not to mention all the plunder needed for a day of inactivity up in the penthouse- rifle, lunch, coffee, water, cushions, cell phone, ammo (almost forgot) and toilet paper. Shoo- I'd need two trips. Forget it, I'll stay on the ground near the car.

With a deluxe shooting stand like that all you need is a good old reliable Ballard rifle in 45-70.

I was concerned when I was building a PRS rifle and put a brake on my 6.5cm, so I got a brake/flash suppressor combo that works with the surefire warden. The warden screws to the brake like a suppressor, but re directs everything forward.
My brake ended up not being too aggressive, so didn't need it in the end

You absolutely will not believe the difference a linear brake can make on a rifle.
It makes a high velocity modern rifle with a 16" barrel more user friendly than the same one with a 26" barrel. The bulk of the blast and noise is directed forward toward the target.
I have used three so far, and would not consider a truck rifle without one.
